Missing Tabs In Display Properties
Some spyware may create a desktop background to replace your own. After doing this, I’ve seen the display properties tabs for modifying the screensaver and wallpaper disappear to prevent the user from getting rid of the malicious wallpaper. To bring these tabs back, navigate to the following Registry string:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Here, you will find the keys responsible. They are:
NoDispBackgroundPage
NoDispAppearancePage
These will likely be set to 1. Set them to 0 or delete them to get your tabs back.

The battery life on my iPhone 3G is woeful - I have to charge it every couple of days as a minimum, but some days the battery life just falls away in front of my eyes, even if I’m barely using it. For example I had approx. 75% of the battery life left when I went to bed last night, and when I got up this morning the battery was empty, bizarrely! I’ve just turned off location services and bluetooth this morning, but has anyone else got any experience or tips on what can be done to prolong the battery life?
